@bearnol

Your Project has been picked for the Formula BOINC Sprint which means a crapload more users than usual so kicked that server in overdrive and let's party!

WOW, such hate, seriously. Deleted your own post bluestang!!!!!!
Everyone knows this is a small project.

Send the hate to the FB project selectors for the sprints.

We all could be on WCG or Rosetta doing COVID-19 tasks instead, which CAN cope with the sprints.

Why would I delete my post that tells the truth? The admin deleted it.

He has been given many suggestions now and in the past and has always ignored them. How is that hate? Quit sticking up for the inept and those who are not willing to change with the times and refuse to take very good suggestions on how to fix things.

The FB admin is another fiasco in itself and a different issue.

(I'll expect this post to be deleted as well so he can save face again)

Accept that the admin deleted, I apologise for saying you did, but really was over the top.
That is the only reason I replied.

I do not have to stick up for this project.
I support this project, give my cpu's as these are the projects that get left behind without supportive people like myself and many others that do not mind the SMALL problems that do come with running projects like this.

Wish you all great day, Crunch on.
Cheers
Steve

Well... the server definitely had a... slight problem :D

As you can see white spots indicate my probe was unable to make a connection :D

Might be a reason of the suggestor.
You have more then 1000 WUs in progress and still want more?

I would suggest to reduce the number of WUs per user to 100 or 10.

I would suggest a limit of WUs per system, not per user. Some of us have so-called 'cruncher farms' -mine is with Raspberry Pi's. Pi 4's are quite productive. As there is no WEP-M+2 at the moment, I'm now crunching Asteroids with the PI's. The Pi 4's usually complete four WEP-M+2 WUs every 2.5 hour, that would be forty in 25 hours per Pi 4....Asteroids takes half a day -per WU- on the Pi 4, a day and a half on the Pi 3 and two days and a half on the Pi 2.

I also use such little ARM-devices from Odroid.
The problem of llimit per system is: you can go around, e.g. with several instances on the same devices. In this case the limit should be low enough (10), that such workarounds mean to much babysitting work for bunkerers to get 10000 WUs.

A limit of 10 WUs per system would be enough to supply my crunchers for this project, the Raspberry Pi 2's already stay below that standard.

A limit of ten WUs per user would hamper me, as I have ten systems on the project, all of them quad cores-though only the six Raspberry Pi's are running WEP-M+2 constantly.

What would happen if I win the lottery and buy a 64-core Threadripper and set it to run WEP-M+2? Guess I'd run into the limit then, but I am generally running 40+ projects on more capable machines, so it wouldn't bother me.
