No, I didn't fix it - it would have needed a database repair, so I replaced wholesale from backup.
With hindsight, after looking at (a copy of) all the data at my leisure, I think I _probably_ would have been able to fix it (so hopefully if it ever happens again I _may_ be (more) prepared), though of course by then the project had moved on in its new incarnation, so there was no point...
